IDA ICT Learning Roadmap Training Courses

Elchemi Education Pte Ltd is appointed by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) as an Infocomm Club Appointed Vendor (ICAV), to conduct ICT Learning Roadmap Courses for 2015.

 

Web Developer Jr

The students will learn how to understand the web development cycle  and develop interactive web application using a platform like Adobe Dreamweaver.

The objectives of the programmes are to promote logical, critical and creative thinking skills by providing a holistic learning environment for the students in the areas of application development and product development lifecycle.

 

Web Developer Jr (Newbie) using Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and/or Kompozer

Course Code: WD-ELC-NEW

Target: Upper Primary school students

Software Requirement:

Adobe Creative Suite 5 and above : Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver OR Free/Open Source Software: KompoZer

Hardware Requirement:

Computers running Either Windows OS7 OR Mac OS X Mountain Lion and above

Programme Outline:

Students to be able to materialize their designs and solution to a problem through protoyping. Students will be allocated time to work on their own personal website with reasonable topic of their choosing to showcase their portfolio, interests,etc.

Mobile App Developer Jr

The students will learn how to conceptualize, design and program mobile application for mobile device suitable for iOS or Android Platform

The objectives of the programmes are to promote logical, critical and creative thinking skills by providing a holistic learning environment for the students in the areas of application development and product development lifecycle.

 

Mobile App Developer Jr (Newbie) using GameSalad

Course Code: MA-ELC-NEW

Target: Upper Primary School Students

Software Requirement:

Gamesalad Creator 0.10.4.1 Beta & above for Mac OS X OR Gamesalad Creator 0.10.4.1 Beta for Windows PC

Hardware Requirement:

Computers with Either Windows OS 7 and above OR Mac OS X Mountain Lion and above with minimum of 2GB of RAM

Programme Outline:

Students to be able to materialize their designs and solution to a problem through protoyping. Students will be allocated time to work on their own personal apps with reasonable topic of their choosing.

The students will learn first how to publish to the online Gamesalad Arcade with is in html5. Students will then make the game into a web app.

Mobile App Developer Jr (Intermediate) using XCode

Course Code: MA-ELC-INT

Target: Upper Secondary Students

Software Requirement: Xcode V6.01 or later

Hardware Requirement: Computers running Mac OS X Maverick and above

Programme Outline:

Students will be able to create their own working apps through series of tutorials where by the students can inject in their own individuality to customize the app. There after, students will be able to materialize their designs and solutions to a problem through prototyping.

The students will first learn how to test their application on the iOS Simulator. Subsequently, they will also be guided through the deployment of app to the i-devices for testing.

Mobile App Developer Jr (Advanced) using XCode

Course Code: MA-ELC-ADV

Target: Upper Secondary/Junior College

Software Requirement: Xcode V6.01 or later

Hardware Requirement: Computers running Mac OS X Maverick and above

Programme Outline:

Students will be able to create their own working apps through series of tutorials using more advanced features where by the students can inject in their own individuality to customize the app. There after, students will be able to materialize their designs and solutions to a problem through prototyping.

The students will first learn how to test their application on the iOS Simulator. After they have successfully tested the app, the students will learn how to publish the app to the App store.

Game Developer Jr

The Students will learn about game concept, game design framework through different example of games,  design and create games.

The objectives of the programmes are to promote logical, critical and creative thinking skills by providing a holistic learning environment for the students in the areas of application development and product development lifecycle.

 

Game Developer Jr (Advanced) using GameSalad

Course Code: GD-ELC-ADV

Target: Upper Secondary/Junior College

Software Requirement:

Gamesalad Creator 0.10.4.1 Beta & above for Mac OS X OR Gamesalad Creator 0.10.4.1 Beta for Windows PC

Hardware Requirement:

Computers with Either Windows OS 7 and above OR Mac OS X Mountain Lion and above with minimum of 2GB of RAM

Programme Outline:

Students will be able to conceptualise their own games, create the game and have their peers test their completed games

The students will first how to publish to the online Gamesalad Arcade with is in html5. Students will then make the game into a web app and push their projects for testing to the devices via iOS or Android Viewer. Thereafter, the students will learn how to publish their Apps to the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store depending on the platform that they are using.

Maker Jr

The students  will learn how to research and analyse the problem and issue, make recommendation and create prototype.

Maker Jr (Advanced) with 3D Printing

Course Code: MJ-ELC-ADV

Target: Upper Secondary/Junior College

Software Requirement: Sketchup Make 2014

Hardware Requirement: Computer using Windows OS 7 or Mac Os X

Programme Outline:

Students will learn how to research and analyse the problems and issues, make recommendation and create prototypes. They are encouraged to personalize their project and given the opportunity to print out their prototype in a physical form using a 3D Printer.
